London Family photographer: I photographed Katie and Tim’s wedding back in 2010. Naturally it was a complete honour to be asked to photograph their growing little family! I spent a beautiful spring afternoon meeting their wonderful little guy, Miles and spending a relaxed time creating fun, natural family photos.

Katie and Tim are a very cool couple. Katie is one half of the supremely talented luxury stationery and creative design company Eagle Eyed Bride. Like a lot of creative brides, it felt like a natural transition for her to join the wedding industry after successfully planning and designing her very own, creative wedding. Katie had previously worked at Ted Baker and studied at the Royal College of Art. Tim also does something really cool and he has has told me about it (several times). But I admit it: I just don’t get what he does! Something to do with digital products and software and stuff at his company, Normally.
Being an achingly hip, creative duo, they are ofcourse based in the arty end of London – the East! Walthamstow in particular. So it made every bit of sense to take in their local hood, starting at their fabulous family home. It was a stunning spring day and we were blessed with soft, warm light. The gorgeous little Miles was an absolute star (though he needed an LOT of banana bribes). He was very laid back, just like his sweet parents. He really was NOT camera shy! After hanging out at home for a bit and several bananas later, we headed to Lloyd Park. The wonderful and appropriate William Morris Gallery formed the perfect backdrop. The spring flowers were out in full bloom.
Precious family shoots like this remind me to make sure we capture these completely special moments and freeze them in time. Kids grow up way, way, too fast! And I should know – one day I blinked and here I am with an 8-year old boy and a 3-year old girl! Please do get in touch if you ever need a London family photographer to freeze those precious memories.
