It was a privilege to photograph this elegant Danesfield House wedding. Melanie and Simon contacted me more than a year before their big day. Mel and I soon discovered we both had an ‘African connection’! She was born and raised in South Africa (and me close by in Zambia!). The stunning venue Danesfield House somehow reminded me of the colonial-style wineries of the Cape and evoked that ‘South-African’ feel, tucked away in the English countryside.
Mel & Simon’s Marlow Wedding
Marisa & Ed’s country wedding at Gate Street Barn with a Claire Pettibone dress
I was a Gate Street Barn Wedding Photographer for this stunning African-inspired luxury Surrey wedding. I cannot lie – this wedding was very close to my heart. Africa (particularly Zambia) is my spiritual home having grown up there, and sweet Marisa and Edward had a beautiful African-inspired wedding which had me at the word go. The couple celebrated their nuptials on a stunning July day at Gate Street Barn in Bromley, Surrey. With Marisa’s family in Zambia and Edward’s family in the Caribbean and Germany, they felt the UK would be a central place for their wedding blessing where they could bring a little bit of all of those elements together and have a lovely mix of cultures for their big day.
Sally & Cian’s colourful, vintage DIY Wedding in East London with an Amanda Wakeley dress
This talented duo both work in the design industry. Hopefully it’s apparent from the photos of their relaxed, vintage, summer wedding just how beautifully co-ordinated the whole design of the day was. Some of it accidentally but a lot of it very thoughtfully only as designers know how! It was an honour to be a Town Hall Hotel wedding photographer at an incredibly cool East London wedding venue.
Lois & Adam’s Boutique Hotel Summer Wedding at the Bingham with a Pronovias dress
I loved working with these two! Lois and Adam have been together a very long time and it’s completely apparent in their playful, relaxed relationship just how well these two know each other – she describes him as ‘grumpy and loud’ and he describes her as,’ditzy and cheerful’ – love it! They are warm, friendly people and having grown up in the same town, their wedding brought together lots of common friends from their childhoods which added to the relaxed ambiance of the wedding day.
